One workspace

The work behind every audit, in one place

Controls link to audits, evidence links to controls, risks link to policies and vendors, and findings become issues with corrective actions. Nothing is copied between spreadsheets.

External audits

Run the audit with your auditor in the room

  • Audits on PCI DSS, DPDP, HIPAA, ISO 42001, GDPR, NIST CSF 2.0 and India's regulators start with the full checklist; ISO 27001 controls come from the catalogue
  • Teammates attach evidence and submit each control for review
  • Your external auditor approves it or asks for clarification on the same page
  • Progress by status, control group and evidence coverage, live on the first page

Risk register

Risks scored, mapped and treated

  • Inherent and residual scores with a rationale, and five levels of control effectiveness
  • Mapped to ISO 27001 Annex A and linked to controls, documents, issues and vendors
  • Separate registers, each with its own list of who may see it
  • Treatment plans with owners and dates; export any risk to PDF, or the filtered register to CSV, for the board pack
Risk register
A risk with inherent and residual scores, Annex A mapping and a treatment plan
Third-party risk

Vendor reviews without the chasing

  • A vendor inventory with criticality, contacts and next-review dates
  • E-mail a questionnaire: each contact answers through a private link, with no account or login
  • Assessments scored automatically into a vendor risk level
  • Compliance documents with expiry tracking
Third-party risk
A vendor engagement with recipients, submission status and the vendor's answers
AI assistant Optional

An assistant that drafts, checks and finds

  • Finds the evidence that answers an auditor's request, and drafts the reply
  • Drafts risks, test procedures, change notes and root-cause plans for you to review
  • Reads a vendor's SOC report and lists the exceptions and red flags
  • Off until your administrator turns it on; nothing is saved without you

How an audit runs

From kick-off to closed findings

  1. Create the audit

Name, framework, scope, owner, due date and your external auditors.

  2. Add the controls

Built-in sets such as PCI DSS, DPDP, HIPAA and ISO 42001 load automatically. Otherwise pick from the ISO 27001 catalogue or import from Excel or CSV.

  3. Collect evidence

Owners and teammates upload files, comment, @mention colleagues and submit each control.

  4. Auditor review

The auditor approves each control or requests clarification. Both sides get an e-mail.

  5. Close the findings

Non-conformities become issues, with root cause and corrective actions tracked to closure.

Built for everyone involved

The right view for every role

Four roles out of the box, then access narrows to the record: each audit, risk register and issue has its own list of who may see it.

System Administrator

Runs the workspace

Users and roles, workflow design, and the System Log with per-person activity.

Compliance Manager

Runs the programme

Audits, controls, risks, vendors, documents, issues and action items.

Employee

Does their part

Their own action items and documents, and any audit they are added to as a teammate.

External Auditor

Reviews in place

Approves controls or requests clarification on their own audits, and sees nothing else.

Security

Built for the record a company protects most

A GRC system holds where a company is exposed. GRC Owl is built around isolation, strong sign-in, least-privilege access and an audit trail that is never purged.

A private instance

Your own sub-domain, database, file storage and sessions, with a database login that reaches only your data.

Single sign-on

Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, Okta or any OpenID Connect provider, limited to your domains.

Two-factor and safe resets

Authenticator-app sign-in, and single-use reset links that never reveal whether an account exists.

Least-privilege access

Access narrows to each audit, register and issue; external auditors reach only their own audits.

Your files, your storage

Keep uploads and backups on our server, or in your own OneDrive, SharePoint, Google Drive, S3 or SFTP.

A permanent audit trail

Changes, approvals, uploads and downloads logged with who and when, and never purged.
